Our bed was delivered and set up last week. It is the king Sleigh bed and we love how it fits with our other furnishings in the bed room. It is very solid and makes no noise. We are very happy with the design, finish and sturdiness of our new bed.

Just a note to let you know our bed did get shipped to us in good shape! It has been in our garage until this weekend when we finally got our room painted and new curtains. Then we put up the bed!!! It is just beautiful. I love how high it is. I am very tall, and I enjoy crawling up into this wonderful bed. I am so happy with the design and the paint combination.

Anyway, thank you for making one of my wishes come true. It is everything and more than I could have wanted.

Brass Bed survived 1994 Flood (Jan. 2007)

I have a Brass Bed that you made in the 70s. It survived the 1994 Flood in Albany, GA. I paid over $300 to have it cleaned. It is a beautiful bed and will last more than 2 lifetimes.

Amazing Piece of Craftmanship (Oct. 2006)

I was given a queen-sized brass bed that has a Brass Beds of Virginia nameplate on the frame. This is the first I'd heard of your company. Is there any way for me to find out the value of my bed? It looks like an amazing piece of craftmanship and I am surprised that someone would just give it away. Can you help?

Sturdy Bed (Oct. 2006)

There aren't too many beds out there that are as sturdy as yours. When I was first looking for a brass bed, I thought they all looked really cheap. THEN.....I walked into the store in Denver and knew right then that was what I wanted to get! Ordered it that day! Almost 20 years - WOW!

We love our bed (Sept. 2006)

We love our bed and have received many compliments over the years. Several of our friends bought "expensive" beds from local shops. Their beds are long gone. They didn't last because they weren't made as well as Brass Beds of Virginia's beds. We still love our bed as much as the day we got it.

Hurricane Katrina took nearly everything from us except our bed (August 2005)

On August 29th, Hurricane Katrina took nearly everything from us - our home, our belongings, and our memories. When we returned to our Mississippi home for the first time, fearing everything lost, we were amazed to find our Brass Beds of Virginia headboard and footboard waiting for us in the mud where our home used to be! To be excited at a moment as tragic as this is hard to explain - but this was no ordinary bed to us. We purchased our Brass Beds of Virginia iron and brass bed in 2001 after enduring twelve years of marriage with a simple frame that comes with the purchase of a mattress. Our BBV bed is one of very few items we were able to salvage from what remains of our home. From the photos below, you'll understand why we were so shocked to find all the metal parts of our bed, undamaged. The bed was so well made and heavy - it didn't float away with the rest of the house.

We brought the bed via U-Haul to Virginia Beach, where we have since relocated. Virginia Beach has been our Navy home three times before. After calling Levin's to inquire about restoration and after explaining what happened, they said not only can they restore it, but that it would be "free of charge!" The compassion and generosity Levin's and Brass Beds of Virginia has shown us has been incredibly heart-warming. Katrina left us very little to call our own. This bed will always remind us of our survival and recovery. It is truly an heirloom. One day when our grandchildren and great-grandchildren snuggle up with us, we will tell them the amazing story of our very special bed.

The only thing left was my 20-year old bed(September, 2004)

Customer: "Do you repair your beds?"
BBV: "Yes."
Customer: "Brass beds?"
BBV: "Yes."
Customer: "I live on Pensacola Bay and a hurricane demolished my house. The only thing left was the concrete slab with my 20-year-old Brass Beds of Virginia bed sitting on it. The bed has been totally immersed in water so it needs to be reworked and cleaned."
BBV: The bed was sent to us, restored, and shipped back to a very satisfied customer.

Stumbled upon this website by accident (October, 2005)

I believe, I had a bed made around the first of the year in 1977. I lived in Richmond at the time. The bed is still in great shape and beautiful when I get around to cleaning it!. My boyfriend helped me change bedrooms a few weeks ago and said he had NEVER seen a bed so well made! My fifteen year old daughter looks forward to having it one day.
